How to Maximise Your Results
Below are suggestions about how to make the most of the forthcoming mini-program challenge.
- Decide. Make a decision to set aside 90-seconds a day for the coming 5-days, plus a minute or two to have a read of the instructions. Also decide when the optimum time would be; Are you a morning person? In which case, waking up a few minutes earlier might suit. If you are someone who has a proper break during the day, then you might schedule it in during lunch. Others of you might prefer to make it an evening practice once the day is over.
- Schedule. When you have decided what time would ideally suit you, schedule it into your diary/phone/calendar so that reminder messages pop up daily for the next 5-days. This will help to make it more habitual, and even if you ‘snooze’ the reminder, you are much more likely to fit it in because the mind does not like incomplete tasks.
- Familiarise. With the daily e-mails, look at the Exercise to familiarise yourself with it and then have a read of any introductory text which explains why you are being asked to do that particular activity. This will reinforce in your mind the reasons and benefits of doing it.
- Emails. Previous delegates have created a separate e-mail folder for the Daily Exercises. The e-mails will all have the word ‘90-Second’ in the subject line, so you can also search should you want to go back and revisit them.
- Journal. Get a regular place to make a note of your progress. Those on my Magic & Gratitude Program, for example, kept a journal on their bedside table or office desk so that they could update it in the morning or evening.
- Benchmark. Complete the Pre and Post Questionnaires. They are a useful way to benchmark and track your progress over the 5-days and beyond.
- Successes. Share your experiences and successes. I have found this to be a great way to reinforce your learning and build in a natural sense of accountability. Use #calmchallenge and tag @marilyndevonish
- Participate. If you can, participate in the live group webinar because it is always great to share insights and ideas, and it is an opportunity to address the issues that you would like to work on and clear.
- Enjoy. Have fun with it!
Warm regards,
Marilyn Devonish
